Job summary

Think Whole Person Healthcare Aksarben seeks a Mammography and DEXA Technologist to deliver expert imaging and compassionate patient care within the radiology team. You will apply skills in mammography and bone densitometry to support accurate diagnoses and excellent service to patients, physicians, and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiology best practices and requirements e.g., OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission.
• Knowledge of healthcare supplies, logistics, and storage guidelines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other related privacy rules.
• Skill in problem-solving and analyzing issues in an efficient, methodical manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiological services by exemplifying the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform a variety of procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for mammographic diagnosis.
• Prepare room, equipment, contrast media, and supplies as necessary for each procedure.
• Perform routine mammographic and DEXA services accurately and competently using predefined department protocols.
• Provide explanation of procedures and assumes care of the physical and psychological needs of the patient while in radiology.
• Comply with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, ACR, FDA and any other specific safety, security and infection control policies.
