Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids seeks a Radiology Technologist specialized in bone densitometry to perform scans in approved Dexa rooms. You will identify patients, verify orders, prepare images, and retrieve prior studies using PACS and EPIC systems.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program graduate, Iowa permit to practice radiography, and current BLS. Training in mandatory reporter requirements is also required prior to start date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter training for Dependent Adult/Child Abuse.

Responsibilities

• Perform bone densitometry scans within granted permit scope.
• Identify patients and verify requisitions align with diagnoses.
• Prepare images, retrieve prior studies, and ensure correct patient identification.
• Document history and medical information accurately.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions promptly.
