Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Mammography Patient Navigator to guide patients through the breast imaging journey, from screening to diagnosis and beyond. You will coordinate care, educate patients, and address barriers such as transportation and financing, ensuring timely follow-up imaging and quality care.

The role requires an accredited imaging program background, MRT license in Texas, and ARRT/MR/N or CNMT certifications, with CPR credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited imaging program in Radiography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine or Sonography.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health care field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules biopsies and follow-up imaging as requested.
• Contacts patients lost to follow-up for rescheduling.
• Educates patients to ensure comfort and understanding of imaging care.
• Coordinates follow-up imaging with Mobile Coordinator.
• Reviews pathology results and communicates with radiologist and navigators.
• Assesses financial and medical status to identify barriers and resources.
