Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• ARRT Radiography certification required; Mammography certification within two years of hire.
• Bone Densitometry Certification preferred but not required.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required for Wisconsin.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging and bone density procedures.
• Corroborates patient history with procedures and documents for radiologist.
• Assists radiologist during procedures and provides patient education.
• Operates imaging equipment and selects exposure factors.
• Ensures patient safety and radiation protection.
• Uses PACS and completes required records and reports.
• Maintains aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Prepares schedules and coordinates with staff and students.
