Qualifications

• ARRT registration as Radiologic Technologist (R.T.)
• State license as Radiologic Technologist (ODH) in Ohio
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a clinical setting
• Ability to provide care appropriate to patients across the lifespan

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography and bone density equipment with full clinical proficiency.
• Selects technical factors and positions patients to ensure high-quality radiographs meeting MQSA standards.
• Accurately identifies radiographs and labeling per patient and procedure, ensuring complete paperwork for radiologist review.
• Functionally supports both mammography and bone density modalities.
• Prepares film releases, copies, or burns discs per department policy and HIPAA rules.
• Assists Radiologist during needle-placement procedures with prepared room and supplies.
• Maintains effective communication with patients, families, staff, and coworkers to deliver compassionate care.
• Uses patient’s name, smiles, and BVHA scripting to promote service excellence and timely responses.
• Provides education and orientation to students and new staff members
