Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Georgia to perform screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams under Radiologist leadership. You will ensure image quality, safety, and patient comfort while supporting radiologists during procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have Accredited Radiologic Technology education and ARRT certifications (Mammography and Radiography).
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray; 1 year in Breast imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast and bone density imaging following protocols and ALARA principles.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure accurate data processing and patient identification.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Adhere to all policies and standards and provide excellent customer service.

Job description

Role Overview

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast and bone density exams, providing data for physicians under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate expertise in Breast and Bone Density Imaging, adhering to protocols and minimizing exposure using ALARA principles. Conduct exams, evaluate image quality, and ensure proper data processing and patient identification. Deliver patient-centered care, prioritize safety, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Assist radiologists with procedures and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Must have an accredited Radiologic Technology education, valid ARRT-Mammography, ARRT-Radiography, and BLS certifications. Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray experience; 1 year in Breast imaging preferred. Skills include operating radiographic equipment, effective communication, and excellent customer service. Knowledge of mammography positioning and breast imaging units is preferred.
