Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center is seeking a Mammography & Bone Density Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs under Radiologist supervision. The role requires ARRT registration and an Ohio Radiologic Technologist license, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

You will operate mammography and bone density equipment, ensure accurate patient identification, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records while providing compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registration required.
• State of Ohio Radiologic Technologist license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong patient interaction skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of mammography and bone density equipment.
• Selects technical factors and positions patient to produce high-quality MQSA-compliant radiographs.
• Accurately identifies radiographs and completes paperwork prior to radiologist review.
• Works in both mammography and bone density modalities.
• Prepares film releases, copies films, or burns discs per policy and HIPAA rules.
• Assists Radiologist during needle placement by preparing room and supplies.
• Communicates professionally with patients, families, staff, and coworkers; adheres to service standards.
• Uses named patient to promote satisfaction and follows BVHA scripting for service excellence.
• Provides education and orientation to students and new staff.
