Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, OH is seeking a Mammography & Bone Density Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs under Radiologist supervision, ensuring MQSA standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities include operating mammography and bone density equipment, labeling correctly, assisting during needle placement, and educating students and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered radiologic technologist in good standing.
• Ohio state license to practice radiologic technology.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates mammography and bone density equipment with full proficiency.
• Selects technical factors and positions patients to obtain high-quality, MQSA-compliant radiographs.
• Accurately identifies radiographs with patient name and appropriate markings; ensures paperwork is complete.
• Covers both mammography and bone density modalities as needed.
• Prepares film release forms and discs as required, adhering to HIPAA.
• Assists Radiologist during needle placement with prepared equipment and supplies.
• Communicates with patients, families, staff in a respectful, courteous manner.
• Uses patient name and smiles to promote service excellence and timely responses.
• Educates and mentors students; orients new staff members.
