Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare Incorporated seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography and bone densitometry under radiologist supervision, delivering high-quality images and timely results with appropriate comparison studies.

You will ensure patient safety, maintain equipment quality control, supervise students, participate in accreditation processes and performance improvement activities, and assist with community breast cancer education and screening

Qualifications

• Virginia radiologic technologist license required.
• ARRT (R) registration required; ARRT (M) preferred or within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required; mammography training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for mammography exams and verify orders.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and bone densitometry.
• Maintain radiation safety and QC, supervise students, and contribute to QA efforts.
• Interact with team and ensure timely reporting to radiologists.
