Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Mammo Technologist for a part-time, day-shift role (0.5 FTE) at LUMC and related sites. You will perform mammography to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and every-other Saturday rotation.

Requirements include ARRT, CPR (AHA), and Registered Radiographic Technologist with Mammography, plus 1–2 years of related experience and an associate's degree or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• Specific degree(s): Mammography, Radiologic Technology.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent training.
• ARRT certification is required.
• CPR (AHA) certification required.
• Registered Radiographic Technologist.
• Registered Radiographic Technologist (Mammography).
• Maintain at least 15 category 1 CEU's direct mammography continuing education hours within a 36-month period.
• Must be able to perform 200 exams within a 24-month period; 40 hours of training in mammography.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening, diagnostic, and mammography procedures to assist physicians.
• Performs related clerical and service duties.

• Hours: 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift
• Weekend Rotation: Every other Saturday (varies)
• Location: LUMC and off-site locations, as needed by the department
• Responsibilities: Performs screening, diagnostic, and procedural work (required)

About the Job

In this role, the Mammo Technologist will perform mammography in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and/or treatment of medical disorders; performs related clerical and serviced duties.

Here is what you'll need

Required:

• Specific Degree(s): Mammography, Radiologic Technology
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
• Associate's degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education

Licensure/Certifications

Required:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Registered Radiographic Technologist
• Registered Radiographic Technologist (Mammography)

Preferred

• Other: All mammography technologists are required to maintain at least 15 category 1 CEU's direct mammography continuing education hours within a 36-month period.
• Must be able to perform 200 exams within a 24-month period. 40 hours of training in mammography.
• 25 mammography exams under direct supervision of MQSA-qualified individual.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $57.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
