Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY is seeking a Mammo Technologist Senior to deliver high-quality mammographic imaging and patient care. You will train clinical staff and support the mammography team while maintaining safety and comfort for patients.

The role requires ARRT Mammography, ARRT-R, NYS Radiologic Technology license, and excellent customer service. Schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotation in Diagnostic Imaging.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Two years of experience as Mammography Technologist.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT-R Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff training and clinical support to mammography technologists.
• Strong working relationship with the referring surgeon's staff.
• Assists with managing patient flow and has a strong knowledge of patient scheduling.
• Proficiently performs advanced mammographic procedures, with little supervision.
• Preps and reviews cases for pre-procedure planning.
• Protocol the exams with the radiologist.
• Meets federal guidelines by performing daily and weekly QA for the imaging equipment and specimen imager.

Monday-Friday between hours of 7 a.m.- 5:30 p.m., with weekend rotation every few weeks.

SUMMARY

As a Mammo Tech Senior, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Training clinical staff and lending support to the broader mammography team

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

PAY RANGE

$32.00 - $44.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
