Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform quality screening and diagnostic mammography, positioning patients and equipment, and selecting the proper protocol. You will review requisitions, evaluate image quality, and maintain complete records while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role includes mentoring residents and junior technologists and providing excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 1 year as a Mammography Technologist required.
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (R) upon hire required.
• (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography Mammography (M) - ARRT upon hire required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes additional pertinent information.
• Demonstrates competence in performing all required exams, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol and utilizing all required equipment.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provide Customer Service/Support to patient population.
• Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• May be required to demonstrate competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Acts as a mentor for residents and junior technologists.
• Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.

• Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequences.


• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.


• Acts as a mentor for residents and junior technologists.


• Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education
