Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast imaging and support diagnostic services for patients. You will operate mammographic equipment, ensure image quality, and follow established protocols in a patient-centered care setting.

Required education includes an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training; ARRT Radiography and Mammography credentials with BLS on hire. Experience is preferred but not required.

• No experience required.
• 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
• Licenses: ARRT Radiography (R) and ARRT Mammography (M) upon hire; BLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.

What you will do

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and makes notes on all additional pertinent information.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required exams on patients, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam by following established procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provide Customer Service/Support to patient population.
• Maintains all required records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

• BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
