Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Florida for a part-time role (30-39 hours/week). You will operate mammography scanners, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging for diagnosis while maintaining safety and RIS documentation.

The ideal candidate is ARRT registered, AMA radiography graduate, and CPR certified, with MQSA/state CEUs and state licensure as applicable. Remote work is not offered. Join a patient-centered team delivering excellence in radiology.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.

• Continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explains and positions patients for Mammography imaging procedures.
• Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging with minimal supervision.
• Adjusts Mammography scan parameters and uses dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Follows physicians' orders, maintains RIS records, and adheres to safety regulations.
• Keeps work area clean and promotes safe practices for patients and staff.
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assists with updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
• Assists with training of new team members with technical expertise.
• Completes other tasks as assigned.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologistto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Mammography Technologist, you will beresponsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This position is part-time, working 36 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure


• Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged/scanned


• Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure


• Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate


• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)


• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members


• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades


• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary


• Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent


• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography


• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing


• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable


• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification


• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently


• Certification in imaging specialty


• Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
