Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to operate imaging scanners and provide patient-centered care. You will perform routine and advanced mammography procedures, position patients for accurate imaging, and ensure safety and compliance across the RIS workflow.

The role requires ARRT-registered technologist credentials, AMA radiography training, state licensure, CPR, and MQSA CEU compliance. This full-time position offers Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, with benefits and DailyPay

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must competently perform mammography procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.
• Continuing CEU's in modality per MQSA or state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Screen patient before exam using two identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for Mammography imaging and position for imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced Mammography imaging with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scan parameters and apply dose reduction techniques.
• Follow physician orders, maintain safety, and document in RIS.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and safe practices.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Support imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
• Monitor supplies and assist training of new team members.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Mammography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a Full-Time position working Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM 6:30 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged/scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) Mammography Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
8. Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
