Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team in Minnesota. The role covers Mammo, C-arm, Dexa and X-ray with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 5:00pm. Training in Mammo is available; 0.8 or 0.9 status with benefits is optional.

The technologist will operate scanners, ensure patient safety, and provide excellent service while adhering to MQSA and accreditation standards. Sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance are offered to support the hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT registered in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must perform mammo procedures competently.
• Certification in imaging specialty and ongoing MQSA CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures and position patients for mammography imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced mammography procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scan parameters and apply dose-reduction techniques as needed.
• Maintain patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Keep work area, equipment, and protocols compliant with safety standards and accreditation requirements.

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus for this role! The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Mammography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working in multimodalities (Mammo, C-arm, Dexa and X-ray) Monday-Friday various shifts between the hours of 7:30am-5:00pm, no call or weekends. Willing to train in Mammo. Option to work 0.8 or 0.9 status available (benefits included).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Patient Mammography Imaging (90%)

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
2. Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged/scanned.
3. Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure.
4. Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
7. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

Mammography Department Support (5%)

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.

Completes other tasks as assigned (5%)

Required

1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
4. Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently.
7. Certification in imaging specialty.
8. Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific.

Preferred

1. Bilingual.
