Job summary

Brookfield Properties in Oklahoma City is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the Operations Manager in maintaining safe, compliant, and well-functioning retail assets. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair various building systems, and help manage supplies and tools.

Based at Quail Springs Mall, you will work with tenants, staff, and vendors, including occasional evenings and weekends, and contribute to a culture of safety and reliability across the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management, employees, tenants and external contacts.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• 2-year Tech School Graduate or trade certificate is a plus.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus.
• Familiar with, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Bilingual welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.
• Operate equipment to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs; maintain cleanliness of property.
• Perform maintenance on interior/exterior areas (painting, drywall, plumbing, lighting, roofing).
• Assist with inventory systems, files, MSDS, supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Repair/modify/move retail merchandising units as needed.
• Assist in setup of events and mall decor.
• Perform interior/exterior custodial duties as needed.
• Assist with snow removal as applicable.
• Support Brookfield Properties safety policies and regulatory guidelines (OSHA).
• Engage in ongoing safety training and emergency planning with management.
