Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Background checks and childcare screenings required.
• Must meet South Carolina childcare licensing requirements.
• Must be dependable, punctual, responsible and professional.
• Must be comfortable actively participating in classroom activities.
• Must have genuine interest in working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide quality care and education.
• Actively engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, books, music, art, and hands-on experiences.
• Serve as a positive male role model by demonstrating patience, kindness, respect, responsibility, and good communication.
• Encourage children to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and develop confidence.
• Assist with classroom routines, meals, diapering/toileting, nap time, and transitions.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development.
• Help prepare classroom materials and activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
