Job summary

Laramie County Library System seeks a Makerspace Supervisor to lead Creative Technologists, partner with local artists, and help people turn ideas into tangible projects at the Cheyenne library. You will guide hands-on learning, safety, and collaborative learning experiences across the community.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in public service or event planning, with supervisory experience preferred. Evening/weekend presence is required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; two years in public service, project management, and/or event planning or equivalent.
• Makerspace and supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Makerspace team and volunteers; manage staff schedules.
• Develop and deliver makerspace programs, classes, and community partnerships.
• Ensure safe operation of tools and spaces; provide instruction and equipment training.
• Oversee daily operations, budgeting input, and division projects.
• Serve as PIC and coordinate cross-functional library initiatives.
