Job summary

Utah State University is seeking a Library Maker Space Assistant to help run the Anne Carroll Moore Library at Edith Bowen Laboratory School. The role includes circulation desk duties, makerspace participation, and helping students with keyboarding and research needs. Schedule is 8:00am - 10:00am Monday-Thursday and 8:00am - 11:00am Friday.

The position is non-benefited, hourly, part-time with responsibilities across library operations and student support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids.
• Experience with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist at circulation desk, aiding patrons in checking in/out library materials and updating patron information.
• Support library makerspace including managing materials and programming, and working with students on maker activities.
• Oversee and assist students individually and as a group with keyboarding skills.
• Assist patrons in finding and using materials.
• Maintain general and special collection, inventory, shelving, and missing item searches.
• Cover library responsibilities when the head librarian is unavailable.
