Job summary

Macomb Community College is seeking a student to provide technical support and training in the Makerspace Lab (CA-240) for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves hands-on equipment management and direct assistance to student attendees.

Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down equipment, promoting the Makerspace, and delivering simple tutorials and a Lunch and Learn session. Applicants must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and hold a work-study award.

Qualifications

• Must be a Macomb Community College student
• Take at least 6 credit hours
• Must have a work-study award from Financial Aid (if unsure, submit form and contact [e-mail])

Responsibilities

• Inventory/manage Makerspace equipment
• Maintain Makerspace equipment - setup and tear down
• Assist/support/tutor Makerspace student attendees
• Report/manage student attendance list
• Report equipment issues
• Setup new equipment (3D Printers, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Beaglebone, etc)
• Advertise/promote Makerspace
• Create/produce simple tutorials using Makerspace equipment
• Develop and present one Lunch and Learn session
• Participate in Makerspace college events, tours, etc.
