Job summary

Parsons School for Design, a division of The New School, seeks Student Assistants in the Digital Tools Shops within the Making Center. You will assist with checkout of tools and equipment, monitor labs, and support daily operations alongside Managers and Technicians.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work on-campus, including evenings/weekends. Hourly rate is $17.00.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to provide high level customer service to students, faculty and staff.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work on-site with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and faculty with checkout of tools/equipment.
• Monitor making spaces and assist Managers and Technicians with daily processes and projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shops.
• Provide information about department services, policies, and procedures.
