Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure vacant apartment homes are turned quickly to market-ready condition. You will perform repairs, sealants, painting, and general upkeep, while following make-ready checklists and safety protocols.

The role includes assisting with grounds maintenance and adhering to OSHA standards, with a focus on courteous resident service and timely documentation. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and make-ready tasks to turnover units.
• Basic safety compliance and OSHA knowledge.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to move-in per make-ready checklist.
• Caulks and seals around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs or replaces as required.
• Performs touch-up painting on vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans and paints curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts where possible.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation on time.
• Adheres to safety policies, attends safety meetings, and completes training (OSHA and relevant laws).
• Provides courteous customer service to residents and handles inquiries professionally.
