Job summary

Abbey Residential Services, Inc at The Abbey at Briar Forest in Houston, TX is hiring a Make-Ready Technician to restore apartments to move-in ready condition. This full-time on-site role includes an on-call rotation and a strong benefits package.

You’ll work with a fast-paced maintenance team, performing appliance moves, minor repairs, painting, flooring, and after-hours coverage while upholding high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of multifamily maintenance or make-ready experience.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• High energy and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
• Professional appearance and excellent service skills.
• Willing to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and replacing appliances.
• Inspect, repair, or replace faucets, sinks, bathtubs, tiles, and plugs.
• Perform light painting, drywall patching, and caulking.
• Replace or repair ceiling fans, blinds, light fixtures, and more.
• Change HVAC filters and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Clean carpets using commercial equipment.
• Assist with apartment trash-outs and property grounds upkeep.
• Support the team with after-hours on-call maintenance (required rotation).
