Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a dependable Make Ready Technician to join Silverado Apartments in Frisco, Texas. You’ll prepare vacant units, perform repairs, and support the maintenance team to ready homes for new residents.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or related hands-on experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Dependability and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Interest in developing additional property maintenance skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Complete make-ready repairs, touch-ups, and final preparations
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, caulking, and hardware replacement
• Inspect apartments and identify items needing repair or replacement
• Assist Maintenance Technicians and Lead Maintenance Supervisor with requests
• Help maintain grounds, buildings, amenities and common areas
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures and property standards
• Provide courteous service to residents and team members
• Participate in rotational on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies
