Job summary

Blue Magma Residential is seeking a Make-Ready Technician to prepare apartments for new residents and perform routine maintenance. You will ensure units are clean, safe, and ready for move-in, while collaborating with the maintenance team and property management to complete tasks efficiently.

Essential duties include painting, cleaning, repairing fixtures, inspecting units for damage, replacing lighting, maintaining grounds, and assisting with move-ins/move-outs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years working in the apartment industry or related field.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with customers one-on-one or in a group environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the property.
• Responsible for ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times for yourself and all personnel and the exercise of sound judgment.
• Responsible for understanding the community rules, policies and enforcement mechanisms and how to seek appropriate assistance when necessary.
• Responsible to maintain the grounds and assist the groundskeeper on daily basis.
• Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as painting, cleaning, and repairing
• Inspect apartments for damage and make necessary repairs
• Replace light fixtures, ceiling fans, and other fixtures as needed
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing air filters and checking smoke detectors
• Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs
• Communicate with the maintenance team and property management to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Make-Ready Technician

A Make-Ready Technician is responsible for preparing apartments for new residents. They ensure that the apartment is clean, functional, and ready for move-in. The Make-Ready Technician also performs routine maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
