Job summary

BSR REIT is seeking a Make Ready Technician in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on preparing apartments for new residents, performing routine maintenance, and addressing work orders with a focus on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities include HVAC troubleshooting, appliance repairs, pool maintenance, and minor carpentry, plumbing, and painting. High school diploma or GED required; 2–3 years of maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 40 hours per week.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years general maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, swimming pools and carpentry.
• EPA and/or HVAC certification preferred.

• Daily repair and upkeep of the assigned apartment community.
• Preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents.
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Lock installation and repairs.
• Maintain and upkeep all pools on property.
• Maintain grounds and common areas to remain free of debris and trash.
• Minor plumbing, painting and carpentry.
• Appliance installation and repairs.

Currently, BSR has an immediate opening for a Make Ready Technician. The Make Ready Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs and apply specialized skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical.

The Make Ready Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Daily repair and upkeep of the assigned apartment community
• Preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner
• Performs preventative maintenance
• HVAC troubleshooting and repairs
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Lock installation and repairs
• Maintain and upkeep all pools on property
• Maintain grounds and common areas to remain free of debris and trash
• Minor plumbing
• Minor painting
• Minor carpentry
• Appliance installation and repairs

Qualifications: Requirements:

• 40 hours per week
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-3 years general maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, swimming pools and carpentry
• EPA and/or HVAC certification preferred
