Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring Make-Ready Technicians to prepare vacant apartments for market-ready condition. You will perform tasks such as caulking, drywall repairs, painting touch-ups, lock testing, and assisting in inspections.

The role requires being near Akron with a valid driver’s license and a vehicle. Ideal candidates have about a year of related experience or equivalent education, with HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• One year related experience or equivalent education.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Live within a 30-minute commute of the property.
• Must be available for on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Caulking and drywall repair.
• Touch up painting and test locks and key sets.
• Assist in property inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain exterior lighting and pool upkeep.
• Perform groundskeeping and snow removal and assist other staff as needed.

Now hiring Make-Ready Technicians!

The Make-Ready Tech prepares vacant apartments for market ready condition by performing various non-technical functions including, but not limited to:

• Caulking
• Drywall repair
• Touch up painting
• Test all locks and key sets
• Assist in inspection of property
• Maintaining exterior lighting
• Ground equipment repair and preventative maintenance
• Maintain grounds and common areas including picking up trash, sweeping sidewalks and driveways, snow removal, etc.
• Assist the Maintenance Technician(s), Porter, and Housekeeper as necessary
• Pool maintenance
• Must be available, on notice, in event of snow and/or ice and other site emergencies.

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Pay: $20.00 – $24.00/hour
• Up to 20% Rent Discount
• Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly
• On-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phone

Hours & Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Paid rotating on-call participation required
• Must be available and prepared for emergency events
