Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Make Ready to restore vacated apartments to market-ready status in a timely manner, following the manager's timetable. The role emphasizes repairs, inspections, and coordination with maintenance to ensure units are ready for move-ins.

If you are detail-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have at least one year of related experience, you will fit in with our on-site team in Florida. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Willingness to perform all required tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Demonstrate knowledge of work safety habits.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours, including weekends.
• Attention to detail and meticulousness.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Social skills to interact with residents.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Check lights and replace them as necessary.
• Replace or repair windows, screens, hinges, doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets.
• Check appliances and report problems to Lead Maintenance.
• Assist with moving appliances and installing fixtures as needed.
• Make keys when necessary.
• Check faucet/sink plugs and repair as needed.
• Install ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen.
• Replace washers and perform exterior repairs when warranted.
• Assist with painting duties and repairs to walls.
• Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs.
• Change A/C filters.
• Operate carpet cleaning equipment.
• Assist with trash-out and heavy item movement.
• Other duties as directed.
