Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations in Mishawaka, IN. This role requires living on-site in a company-provided apartment and being available for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities include restoring vacant apartments to market-ready status, handling full turnkey tasks, and performing various repairs. Candidates should have maintenance experience and tools, good communication skills, and a valid

Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC preferred but training available.
• HVAC certification or experience preferred but training may be provided.
• Must own basic tools.
• Professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
• Strong communication with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills; comfortable with software/apps.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartments to market-ready condition.
• Complete full vacant turn processes promptly to meet move-in deadlines (drywall repairs, painting, caulking, grouting).
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, disposals, locks, windows; carpentry and tile work.
• Complete administrative paperwork; assist with snow/ice removal as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

We are currently looking for a Standby Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site operations team to help support a positive experience for our residents. No commuting expense or dealing with traffic!

This particular role must live on-site in a company-provided apartment, in return for being available to respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.This position requires the ability to complete all work orders assigned according to company policies and procedures.

What are the responsibilities of a Make Ready Maintenance Technician?

• Ensuring that all vacant apartment homes are restored to market-ready status
• Completing full vacant turn process in a timely manner to meet move-in deadlines including drywall repairs, painting, caulking and grouting
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows as well as carpentry and ceramic tile installation
• Completing administrative paperwork as necessaryAssisting with snow and ice removal, as required
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

What are the role requirements?

• Previous experience in building maintenance working with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC is preferred but willing to train
• HVAC Certification or experience is preferred but willing to train
• Possess own tools
• Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
• Able to effectively and professionally communicate with residents and co-workers
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software, apps, and programs
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
