Job summary

Ambo Properties in Texas is seeking a Make Ready/Maintenance Tech to join our team. You will prepare vacant apartments for new residents, performing cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and appliance checks to ensure a welcoming, safe home.

You will assist with general property upkeep, support inspections and work orders, and collaborate with maintenance and leasing teams to keep the property running smoothly. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Make Ready/Porter or similar role preferred
• Basic knowledge of property maintenance tasks (painting, cleaning, minor repairs)
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Driver's License (Required)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background/Drug screening (Required)
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform outdoor tasks as needed

Responsibilities

• Apartment Turnover: Perform "make ready" tasks to prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and appliance checks
• Property Maintenance: Assist with general property upkeep, including picking up trash, landscaping, and maintaining curb appeal
• Cleaning & Maintenance Support: Clean and maintain common areas, such as hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms
• Inspection Support: Assist with property inspections and ensure all areas are in compliance with safety standards
• Work Orders: Address minor maintenance work orders when necessary and report any major repairs to the maintenance team
• Resident Interaction: Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward residents and guests while completing tasks efficiently and with care
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance and leasing teams to ensure the smooth operation of the property
