Ambo Properties in Texas is seeking a reliable Make Ready/Maintenance Tech to prepare apartment homes for new residents, including cleaning, painting and minor repairs. You will support property maintenance and ensure curb appeal while collaborating with leasing and maintenance teams.

Candidates should have prior Make Ready/Porter experience, basic maintenance knowledge, ability to work independently, and be able to pass a background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in Make Ready/Porter or similar role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass criminal background and drug screening.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform outdoor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Apartment turnover: clean, paint, minor repairs and appliance checks to prepare units.
• Property maintenance: general upkeep, trash pickup, landscaping, curb appeal.
• Cleaning & maintenance: clean common areas like hallways and laundry rooms.
• Inspection support: assist with property inspections and safety compliance.
• Work orders: address minor tasks and report major repairs.
• Resident interaction: maintain a positive attitude with residents and guests.
• Team collaboration: work with maintenance and leasing teams for smooth operation.

Job Description:We are seeking a reliable and motivatedMake Ready/Maintenance Tech to join our team with Ambo Properties. This role is critical in preparing apartment homes for new residents, ensuring the property is clean, safe, and inviting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apartment Turnover:Perform "make ready" tasks to prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and appliance checks.
• Property Maintenance:Assist with general property upkeep, including picking up trash, landscaping, and maintaining curb appeal.
• Cleaning & Maintenance Support:Clean and maintain common areas, such as hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms.
• Inspection Support:Assist with property inspections and ensure all areas are in compliance with safety standards.
• Work Orders:Address minor maintenance work orders when necessary and report any major repairs to the maintenance team.
• Resident Interaction:Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward residents and guests while completing tasks efficiently and with care.
• Team Collaboration:Work closely with the maintenance and leasing teams to ensure the smooth operation of the property.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Make Ready/Porter or similar role in property management or maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of property maintenance tasks (painting, cleaning, minor repairs).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Drivers' License (Required)
• Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background/Drug screening (Required)
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform outdoor tasks as needed.
