Arbor Property Management in Houston, TX is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartments for new residents. You will perform repairs, painting, and inspections to ensure every unit meets move-in standards and market readiness.

Responsibilities include coordinating turnover schedules, completing drywall, plumbing, and electrical tasks, and maintaining safe, high-quality workmanship. Teamwork and safety compliance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–2 years of multifamily maintenance or related trade experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely use maintenance hand tools and equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete apartment turns using Arbor make-ready standards.
  • Coordinate turnover schedules to meet move-in deadlines.
  • Inspect completed apartments to verify move-in readiness.
  • Identify and report additional repair needs before occupancy.
  • Repair drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and fixture repairs.
  • Repair rather than replace materials whenever practical.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and organized work areas.
  • Assist with service requests and grounds during peak needs.
  • Support emergency response efforts when requested.
  • Follow OSHA, PPE, and company safety requirements.
