Job summary

Kelly Education is hiring substitutes for Newton School District in Mississippi. No prior teaching experience is required. Substitutes provide mentorship and help students learn and grow on a flexible schedule, with the opportunity to select preferred school locations.

• Substitute Teacher (Certified): $90/day

• Substitute Teacher (Bachelor’s Degree): $80/day

Teacher Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

• For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
