Job summary

Kelly Education is hiring substitute custodians for Jackson Public Schools. No previous experience is required, and substitutes are essential to keep classrooms safe and clean so students can learn and grow every day.

Responsibilities include removing litter, cleaning floors and restrooms, minor maintenance, reporting repairs, and attending professional development as needed. The role offers flexible scheduling and weekly pay through Kelly Education.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Willing to learn and accept responsibility.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Pass the drug screening test as outlined by the district.
• Heavy lifting 50-75 lbs.
• Negative Drug Test.
• PERS Allowed.

Responsibilities

• Remove litter and wastepaper from classroom, offices and grounds; and deposits in provided in receptacles.
• Maintain carpet and other floor surfaces.
• Clean windows, light fixtures, venetian blinds, walks, storage rooms, unity rooms and restrooms.
• Performs minor maintenances repairs to building and equipment.
• Report any needed repairs and malfunctions to maintenance for correction.
• Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
• Attend any professional development activities as needed.
