Food & Friends in the District of Columbia delivers medically tailored meals and nutrition support to people living with AIDS, cancer and other illnesses, supported by staff and volunteers. The Philanthropy Officer will grow our major gifts program by identifying and cultivating donors of $10,000+ for annual operations, using moves management and tailored solicitations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Six years of fundraising experience.
• At least four years in major gifts and gifts of $10,000+.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Background check and pre-employment drug test.

Responsabilités

• Build a portfolio of 125-150 donors by identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects.
• Maintain an active schedule of moves management to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
• Create and implement solicitation strategies incorporating blended gifts and deferred options.
• Develop briefing memos, proposals, and stewardship materials.
• Collaborate with other development staff on donor pipeline and strategy.
• Routinely work in Raiser's Edge to enter donor notes and produce reports.
