The University of Austin (UATX) seeks a Major Gifts Officer to advance a growing fundraising program in Austin, TX. You will cultivate a portfolio of mission-aligned donors and execute sophisticated moves to secure 5+ figure gifts, reporting to the Senior Director of Development.

This is a full-time, on-site role with travel about 30% and a focus on building lasting donor relationships. You should bring 3+ years of fundraising success, exceptional communication, and the ability to collaborate

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fundraising experience in higher education or mission-driven settings.
• Proven success cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage across disciplines and adapt to diverse donors.

Responsabilités

• Implement major gifts strategy to build and manage a portfolio of donors.
• Conduct frequent donor meetings, travel regionally and to Texas for solicitations.
• Plan events and solicitations to secure 5+ figure gifts.
• Collaborate with leadership and programs to align donor stewardship.
