Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Executive Director of Development for Major Gift Strategy to guide principal gift fundraising across campus. You will manage 3+ managers of fundraisers and align with college, school, and unit priorities to drive major gift outcomes.

You will collaborate with Gift Operations, PRM, and leadership to optimize moves management, fill gaps in proposals, and enhance stewardship across donor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years as a manager of major gift/principal gift fundraisers.
• 6-8 years' experience closing $1M+ gifts year over year.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Major Gift band strategy with development leadership.
• Set year-over-year fundraising targets and track band goal achievement.
• Translate institutional fundraising targets into Major Gift expectations for senior offices.
• Collaborate with PRM and other teams on goals and portfolio coverage.
• Lead pipeline reviews and create action plans with owners and deadlines.
• Monitor visits, engagements, proposals, and closures with stakeholders.
