Compensation : $87,880 - $92,761 Annually

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY : The Center's Development department is responsible for the fundraising to support the Center's many programs and services that are not financially supported by government grants. The department raises nearly $20 million through individual gifts, private foundation grants, and estate and legacy gifts, as well as several fundraising events which include major events, such as the Center Gala.
JOB SUMMARY : Reporting to the Director of Major Gifts, the Major Gifts Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 150 sustaining donors (annual gifts of $1,500 or more) and prospects as well as assisting with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive major gift strategy. This is a front-line fundraising role with a special focus on upgrading existing and attracting new donors, developing donor strategies that create opportunities for donors to support at the principal gift level ($1m+), and integrating the activities into the Center's Annual Giving moves management program and portfolio pipeline management. The program includes researching, prospecting, keeping detailed donor records and managing a well-developed program of donor cultivation, recognition, and renewal.
