Job summary

Rutgers Democracy Lab at the Eagleton Institute seeks an Associate Director of Development to drive major gifts fundraising. You will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a diverse donor base, building a strong major gift pipeline and partnering with Rutgers University Foundation on policies and reporting.

The role reports to the SVP, focuses on policy and education fundraising, and operates in a hybrid work setting in New Brunswick, NJ with a salary of $90,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years of fundraising experience.
• Experience fundraising for policy and education is preferred.
• Ability to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects for gifts above $25,000.
• Solicit prospects and donors to meet solicitation and gift-closure goals.
• Organize time and resources for donor meetings and events.
• Develop relationships with faculty, staff, and partners within RDL.
• Coordinate with a communications firm to articulate needs and priorities.
• Contribute to development of new fundraising initiatives and partnerships.
• Ensure timely reporting and data maintenance in CRM and tracking systems.
