Job summary

Benedictine University seeks a Foundation Development Director to raise funds for Benedictine communities and advance donor relationships with the aim of securing major gifts that support the mission. The role partners with the Support Center and campus leadership to develop and execute fundraising strategies and apply best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in marketing, business, communications or related field.
• Three or more years in fundraising, development, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Secures philanthropic funds to meet/exceed annual philanthropy goals and meets monthly metrics.
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major gift donors.
• Builds and manages a portfolio of at least 75 prospective major gift donors.
• Completes timely reports of meetings, proposals, communication and progress in Raiser's Edge.
• Partners with Community Executive Directors and Benedictine leaders to ensure engagement.
• Documents all donor visits/interactions to coordinate communication with stakeholders.
• Oversees donor/prospect data and upholds confidential handling and release of information; follows regulations and Benedictine policies.
