Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii seeks a Director of Development to lead donor cultivation and major gifts strategies across corporate, foundation and individual portfolios. The role requires guiding cross-functional teams to craft compelling proposals and steward high-net-worth donors, while coordinating fundraising initiatives across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in moves management, budget oversight, and achieving fundraising targets, with a track record of closing $6-7+

Qualifications

• 9 years in business development and fundraising, including annual giving, prospecting, cultivation, proposal development, stewardship practices and working with Board members.
• Demonstrated results in identifying, cultivating, closing and stewarding $6-7+ figure gifts.
• Experience in building relationships and converting them into long-term donor relationships.
• Experience in use of moves management or equivalent donor cycle system.
• Experience managing budgets and achieving fundraising or revenue targets.

Responsibilities

• Engage in donor development cycle including identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement and stewardship.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners.
• Lead strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising events and sponsorship activations.
• Manage development budget with revenue forecasting, expense tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate involvement of staff and resources to meet program objectives and donor expectations.
• Meet and exceed revenue targets and strategic objectives.
• Drive funding and collaboration for mission priorities with staff and volunteers.
• Assess donor interests and align with organization priorities regularly.
