Job summary

Penn State University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Director of Development to engage alumni and friends in supporting the College of Engineering. You will report to the Senior Director of Major Gifts and collaborate with college leadership and central development offices to identify prospects, craft proposals, and lead major gift solicitations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in development/fundraising preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to secure major gifts and meet fundraising goals.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate a prospect pool of alumni and key constituencies.
• Articulate Penn State’s needs and values through proposals and communications.
• Plan and execute solicitation strategies leading to major gifts.
• Travel regionally and nationally to build enduring relationships and meet metrics.
