Job summary

Penn State Hazleton, as part of Penn State's Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), seeks an Assistant/Associate Director of Development to engage alumni and friends in supporting the Northeast Campuses. The role centers on major gifts, donor cultivation, and strategic communications to advance Penn State's fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 1+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination accepted.
• Experience with fundraising, donor cultivation, and major gift solicitations is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally to engage donors.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate a prospect pool of alumni and key constituencies.
• Articulate Penn State's needs, ambitions, and values through proposals and communications.
• Plan and execute solicitation strategies leading to major gifts.
• Travel extensively to pursue fundraising strategies and build enduring relationships.
