Job summary

The University of Denver Sturm College of Law is seeking an Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts, to advance philanthropy for the law school and DU. You will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, craft tailored proposals, and collaborate with leadership to secure support for priorities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will travel in Colorado Front Range, work in a hybrid environment, and help translate academic priorities into compelling giving opportunities with a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional fundraising experience.
• 3+ years in donor relations or relationship-based sales.
• Experience closing gifts of $10,000+.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts.
• Manage portfolio of 100-150 major gift prospects and donors.
• Solicit current-use, endowed and multi-year gifts.
• Raise $500,000-$1,000,000+ annually.
• Prepare major gift proposals and donor communications.
• Identify planned giving opportunities with colleagues.
• Staff donor visits with Dean and faculty.
