WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY?
As a Major Account Manager, you are an integral part of our business development team. This position will partner on existing accounts within the Energy & Infrastructure team to foster and expand our relationships to increase revenue. This role reports to the Sales Division Manager.
- Desire and ability to nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and candidates alike
- Maximize existing relationships by engaging clients as their primary point-of-contact for Sterling
- Identify, develop, and expand client relationships and prospects using sales tools and methods (social media, company database, networking events, etc.)
- Proactively initiate new contacts with targeted accounts and org chart development
- Establish opportunities to present our value proposition to strategic Senior Executive and Management level contacts
- Conduct business development activities as required to maximize existing relationships by promoting Sterling’s service offerings through office visits, presentations and overall communication
- Travel as required to meet new contacts and provide service offering and capabilities presentations
- Utilize strategic client management practices, industry & market analysis, internal communication, external promotions and constant in-depth client analysis to uncover additional service offering and revenue opportunities
- Proven ability to grasp technical/technology concepts as it pertains to functional job requirements
- Assist in screening qualified applicants against the job description over the phone or through face-to-face meetings
- Present qualified and screened candidates to hiring managers with summary of qualifications
- Recruit when needed on client orders
- Fully responsible for managing the profitability and ongoing growth and diversification of assigned accounts
- Consistent follow up and communication with clients and candidates
- Closing and negotiating skills built on honesty and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Meet or exceed weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations
- Experience in a customer-facing and/or service-oriented career is highly desired
- Ability to travel and present to all levels of leadership
- Ability to grow accounts organically through referrals and new business development
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience preferred
