Job summary

Ocean Key Resort and Spa in Key West, FL, is seeking an experienced Maitre D/Sommelier to elevate guest experiences with personalized wine service and expert recommendations. You will oversee reservations, seating, and the dining room while leading wine program development.

The role requires 3–5 years in upscale dining, a Sommelier certification, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of upscale dining experience.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairings.
• Certified Sommelier designation preferred or WSET Level 1 or higher.
• Exceptional guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests; manage reservations and seating.
• Provide professional wine recommendations, pairings, and service.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the wine list and assist in creating it.
• Develop and maintain the wine program; monitor storage and inventory.
• Conduct wine training for service staff.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices.
• Support beverage cost controls and inventory counts.
• Assist with special events, wine dinners, and promotions.
