Job summary

A luxury private-island resort in the Florida Keys is seeking an experienced Sommelier to join its food and beverage team.

You will own a high-end wine program, curate selections, provide pairing recommendations, train the F&B team, and drive wine revenue while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Strong knowledge of international wines and wine service are required; WSET or CMS credentials are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in luxury hotel, resort or fine-dining.
• Strong knowledge of international wines, regions and varietals.
• Excellent wine pairing and guest engagement skills.
• Experience training and developing F&B teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive wine revenue.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for hospitality and personalized guest experiences.
• Wine qualifications such as WSET or CMS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Curate and maintain an extensive wine selection.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings.
• Collaborate with culinary team on wine pairings and menus.
• Conduct wine tastings and provide guest education.
• Train and develop F&B teams on wine knowledge and service.
• Manage wine inventory, purchasing and stock levels.
• Build relationships with suppliers and wine reps.
• Drive wine sales through recommendations and service.
• Maintain high standards of wine storage and presentation.
