Position Overview

Maître’d / Service Captain for Lunch and Dinner Services at Cal-India Collective.

Key Responsibilities

• Model and cultivate a positive, inspired, respectful culture.
• Understand and manage the flow of service, ensuring seating maximizes covers while maintaining service quality.
• Track reservations, manage the waitlist, and update table status.
• Monitor overall restaurant status to make informed decisions on wait times and seating.
• Greet guests warmly and provide a courteous farewell.
• Serve as the primary contact for guests, exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of food, drink, and services.
• Coordinate with floor staff regarding table arrangements before and during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the host area and throughout the restaurant.
• Communicate special guest requests, VIPs, or celebrations to servers and front‑of‑house management.
• Learn and execute closing procedures, including cash handling, for up to two nights per week.
• Collaborate with the GM, AGM, and Events Manager to improve service flow.
