Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in assigned buildings.
• Recognize and report changes and safety hazards; perform minor cleanups.
• Submit work orders to the Maintenance Helpdesk and complete them in adherence to ministry standards.
• Accurately record current status and time spent on each job in the maintenance database.
• Supervise and train assigned GA and student workers on minor repairs, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
• Respond to emergencies in assigned buildings and, when necessary, contact appropriate trades.
• Notify the Maintenance Help Desk of work orders needed to return areas to normal usage.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma preferred; Vocational/Trade degree preferred.
• Work experience: 6 months or more in maintenance or related trades; apprenticeship in a construction trade preferred.
• Physical requirements and skills: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, computer literacy, use of handheld power tools, hand tools, ladders, and ability to lift, bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed. State driver's license required.
